So, I thought I would try my own "flounce hems" to see how they would look:

SO, to make matters easier, I thought I would just post the basic charges for embroidery on an item you already have.  I usually respond to a request with something like, "well, um, I don't know, how about couple dollars?" or something similar.  So for consistency sake, here are some basic prices:

A single letter - $5

A single name - $10

A monogram/or other intital set - $10

Team Name and mascot - ex "Barnesville Shamrocks" - $15

Little Andrew has an animal-themed nursery, so his aunt ordered this banner to welcome him into the world!  I just love the idea of going into the new baby's house while they are still at the hospital and hanging a banner like this on the mantle or wall for when they arrive home with their new bundle!!!

Preschool Rocks!!

Cade's first day of preschool was today!! The shirt says "preschool ROCKS" on the front, and has a little guitar sewn on the back in the top center.

Name Banner

Kind of hard to see, but it says, "Welcome, Gabriella!"  I had a shower for a friend of mine who adopted a little girl.  The decorations were set to match the fabric in the nursery, which are primarily orange and pink.  She ended up taking the banner home, taking off the "welcome" strand, and hanging it in little Gabriella's room as a permanent decoration!

What a cute, but not too cute :), way for a new four year old to celebrate his special day!!  The number 4 is made with red felt and then stitched "unevenly" around the edges in yellow.  The back has a little number 4 in the top center!

Happy Two-Two....

A perfect outfit for a new 2-year old!!!  The t-shirt has an applique "2" on it with the birthday girl's name embroidered on it.  The tutu is made to coordinate with the colors in the shirt/leggings!  (can't figure out why the picture won't turn around the right way!!)

This is a set of 2 burp cloths made from super-soft flannel.  One has the baby's first name, and the other has a monogram.  The backs are a coordinating print on the same soft flannel.

This one is for my littlest pumpkin, Ellie.  I think I will add an orange/white polka dot ruffle to the bottom of some brown leggings, or a swirl skirt in the brown fabric from the stem.....not sure, yet.  She will probably end up wearing it with just jeans :) !!

Welcome Home, new baby!!!

A friend of mine asked me to make a "welcome home" banner for her sister-in-law who just had her first baby, Margaret.  She, then, went into the new baby's house while they were still in the hospital and hung this on the mantle and added a big, bright flower arrangement, so when they came back from the long hospital stay, they could celebrate in style!  Margararet's bedding is an "Under the Sea" theme, in blues and teals, so I followed the theme, and added some pink to make the banner complete!

LOVE these fall colors!!!  I am working on a tiered ruffle skirt to go with this shirt, and maybe some ruffle-bottom leggings, too!!  Will post pictures when I finish them.

Name Pillows

I saw something like this on a website, and wasn't really sure what I thought about them.  Then, I made one for a friend of mine whose little boy has a train-themed room in navy blue and red.  Since then, I have made several more and received many compliments on them.  The front is chenille, on which the letters are sewn, and the back can be a print or a minky-soft fabric.  I will post more pictures soon, so you can see some different ideas.  This one is done in pinks and browns.

First Birthday!!!!!

Sweet Emma turned one this summer and she had an ice cream cone themed party!!!  Her mom found this adorable ribbon with little ice cream cones on it.  The bloomers have sprinkles and cherries (if you can't see).  The bib can be reversible with pink and white polka dots on the back.  Happy Birthday to Emma!!
